Term used to refer to those NFT projects which send an NFT to holders of certain NFTs. This is a large perk of holding an NFT for the long term

Alpha

Term used when people affiliated with an NFT project, provide some positive information on an upcoming move in relation to a project – Often the Alpha is shared amongst active community members only

Announcements

Term used within the discord community, which is a reliable place to learn of important info in relation to a specific NFT project

Check the announcement channel, for the latest development for this NFT project

Ape

Term used when someone enters into a project for the first time

Attribute

Term used to refer to the different characteristics, which make up an NFT

Hardware wallet

Term used to refer to a crypto wallet which is a physical device, which keeps your crypto and NFT assets completely offline – many look like USB drives. Cold Wallets are the most secure way to hold NFT assets

You should make sure you store your NFTs in your hardware wallet to be safe and secure

DAO

“Decentralised Autonomous Organisation” – Term used to refer to an NFT community which requires stakeholders to vote to implement changes; a DAO is backed by some monetary value, either in the form of NFTs or Crypto

This project has a DAO, where all holders can vote on the future direction of the project

De-Fi

“Decentralised Finance” – Term used to refer to financial technology which does not rely on an intermediary such as a bank or government to run. You hold assets in a secure digital wallet, instead of keeping it in a bank

I love De-FI... helps us get away from being controlled by big corporate entities

Degen

Short for degenerate. Used in a positive way to demonstrate you have a keen interest in NFTs

Delist

Term used by the NFT community, to encourage solidarity in delisting any active NFT sale listings

You better delist your NFT, before you regret selling too early

Diamond Hands

Term used to refer to those people who are holding for the long term, even through periods of uncertainty in an NFT project

I love the Diamond Hand community in this NFT project

Doxed

Term short for documented, used in the NFT world when a person reveals their true real-life identity – NFT projects which have Doxed founders are sought after, as it hold accountability

This project has a fully Doxed team behind them

Term used to refer to the entry price point of buying into an NFT project

FOMO

“Fear Of Missing Out” – Term used within community when a project gains a lot of sales transaction, but someone did not buy in before the hype took over

I have major FOMO of missing out on this project mint

Fren

“Friend” – purposely spelling friend wrong, often used in a sarcastic yet endearing manor in NFT project chat rooms

FUD

“Fear Uncertainty Doubt” – Term used when someone in the NFT community speaks badly about the future prospects of an NFT project

I don’t appreciate all of this FUD in relation to this NFT project

Term used to refer to a spike in the transaction cost of buying an NFT on the Ethereum network – gas wars often occur during a hype project initial minting
